In 2002 eclectic theatre company produced a new modern interpretation of Les Liaisons Dangereuses - the classic and scandalous novel by Choderlos de Laclos - updating the action from 17th Century France to post-millennium England.

The tale of romantic deceit and manipulation has long been loved by readers and audiences alike. Previous adaptations of the novel include a 1959 French film, Christopher Hampton’s award-winning RSC play, Stephen Frear’s award-winning film Dangerous Liaisons (based on Hampton’s play), Milos Forman’s 1988 film Valmont, and more recently Roger Kumble’s box-office hit film Cruel Intentions.

The play, Alexander's Diary, was written & devised by the Company. Following a sell-out workshop production in April 2002, a successful run of the play was presented at THE MAN IN THE MOON THEATRE in June 2002. Details of the cast and crew for the UK & world premier production are below.
